It's a well-known fact that kids and teens aren't reading as much as they used to. Literacy rates are down, the library is oft forgotten, and the internet is where most young people go to find and disperse information—often in its most abbreviated forms.
So how—in this age of Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr takeover—do we save and maintain reverence for true literature? How do we keep classics from being forgotten?
Technology is only advancing, making it unrealistic to say "Get off your phones and go read a book." Nonetheless, it's worth thinking about: how can we champion the digital age to keep books alive instead of losing them in the information overload?
